F.A.Q’s – About the Hardwood
Q. What type of wood is used and why?
A. World renowned West Australian Jarrah or Sheoak. These varieties are highly valued by craftsmen for their structural stability.
Q. Will the frame last in a warm or humid climate?
A. Woodroc uses only stable, kiln dried Jarrah and aged Sheoak. Joints are professionally made and strong. The design incorporates a gap around the granite to accommodate shrinkage. These specific design factors all combine to promote longevity!
Q. Can I cut or put hot pots directly onto the wood?
A. To keep this ‘individually chosen, highly polished’ wood looking great for a long time, please use the granite instead (raised 1mm for this reason).
Q. Is the hardwood coating Food Safe?
A. Yes, a Food Safe oil has been applied.
Q. How do I care for the hardwood?
A. You may wish to occasionally apply a little fine Grapeseed Oil with a soft cloth.
