The Creators
Phillip and Deborah draw inspiration from the towering forests, dramatic coastal granite cliffs and spectacular beaches stretching from their home in Albany, through Denmark and Walpole, to Margaret River in the south of Western Australia. We have a passion for ‘fine’ crafts and for the ‘jewels of the forrest – it’s world famous hardwoods’.

The Elements
Western Australia Hardwoods currently include Jarrah or Sheoak, which are hunted far and wide, then individually hand selected for bright colour and high grain feature.
Our selected timbers are already World Famous and grace the home or office of the lucky few!
Grades include Classic (hard to source) and Premium (increasingly rare).
Only diamonds are harder than Granite, so yes it’s very durable. We love it!
Our selected granites are cut from inaccessible mountainous areas around the world.
The volcanic formation processes of granite tell an amazing story.
Incredible human endeavour is involved in the quarrying, transporting, cutting and polishing of granite.
Granite is composed of three primary minerals which can be identified by their contrasting colours, shape and size.
- Feldspar minerals appear as white grains which are the most common mineral in granite.
- Quartz minerals appear as light grey grains which look like glass.
- Biotite or Black Mica minerals appear as black ‘scale like’ grains.

Design Inspiration
The current Woodroc Design Trivett blends ‘hard to find’, carefully selected elements.
Our design seeks to reflect the divine gift and romance of marriage.
The convex curve represents man, whilst the concave curve – woman.
The two are joined together, and have become one, as in marriage.
They are bound together by love, which is represented through the convex profile which borders and flows around all sides the frame.
Granite provides incredible hardness, second only to diamonds, and is surrounded by the hardwood frame which provides strength and support.
The result is greater than the sum of the parts, a thing of great beauty and lasting benefit.
So, forget all about mass produced department stores gifts!
